Industrial/ Effluent Testing
Poly and perfluoroalkyl substances, PFAS, are a group of 3000+ man-made, organic chemicals whose unique physical and chemical properties have been utilized across many industries for the past 70 years. Some of these compounds may not degrade and build up in the environment, exposing humans through both direct and indirect sources.
With decades of under-regulated use by manufacturers and producers on various consumer products, PFAS can be present at concerning levels in the environment leading to extensive human exposure. Recently, concern has grown due to studies linking adverse health effects to extended PFAS exposure.
